Seasoned Individuals in Camping (SIIC)
Introducing a new Similar Interest Group started by the ACA, NY and NJ with a committee comprised of camp professionals from all over the country!
Have you been in the camping industry full-time for more than 5 years? Then SIIC creates a unique opportunity for you to:
Connect - Through monthly Zoom calls. Seasoned Professionals will connect from all over the country to discuss "Hot Topics" in the industry, problem solve current issues and examine best practices.
Collaborate- On topics from going green to staff retention. SIIC’s goal is to stay relevant on what we are dealing with in the trenches as Camp Professionals.
Develop- Develop as Seasoned Professionals through conversations and social networking. There will be various opportunities to create these connections throughout the winter months and through the summer.
The goal of SIIC is to bring camps of various backgrounds, programs and practices together from across the country to help educate and learn from one another.
Why SIIC -
Todd Robbins and Sara Fetterhoff have been in the camping industry full time for over 7 years. After a run in EPIC (Emerging Professionals in Camping) they felt there was a hole in the market for camping professionals who had been in the industry for more than five years. While the Tri-State CAMP Conference provides opportunities for them to create relationships with camp professionals outside of their camp group, they wanted something more. Through that open dialogue SIIC was born. We hope that you will join us in helping this new group of professionals thrive!
